Welcome to Dude's Ranch Horse Camp!!

We are a low key, family oriented organization.   We really care about your kids.  A "No pressure to perform" environment.  Our program is non-competitive, which encourages experimentation, and non-regimented, which fosters self-direction and confidence. They will learn how to communicate and have responsibility through caring for their assigned horse. 

A very educational place to be for your kids 5 yrs old and over. Sessions can be all day or half a day. It's your choice.  However,  throughout the different session we will be taking a few overnight field trips (that will take us off the ranch for a few days.. It's mostly for those kids who'd like to expand their knowledge of horses. )  This of course will be based on parental permission.

What do we do all day?

While horseback riding is the main event,  the kids will learn grooming, tack,  equine anatomy and general horsemanship.  They will learn how to be a horse wrangler/trainer.

We teach natural horsemanship and seat development.  Although we are non- competitive, after several sessions each child earns a step up ribbon to the next level of learning. In addition, there will be arts and crafts, story telling,  trail riding, hiking trips & picnics. With your permission, we will have sleepover camping at the Acton ranch.  There will also be field trips to the beaches and state parks, special guest wranglers and special event days  are throughout the summer.

WESTERN ARTS & CRAFTS    Learn while you create crafts from leather, beads, gems and other Cowboy items.

Everyone gets to ride every day if they choose. Under the guidance of our award winning trainers, your child will be trained based on their experience while riding outdoors.

Each child has his own horse while at camp. He/she will have the opportunity to learn how to raise and care for  a horse.   It's all part of the ranch experience and builds great pride and teamwork within the group.  The kids may even experience a horse in  foal.

Transportation ~  Special arrangements can be made for pick up and drop off.

Ages:  5 years and up. 

Rates:

Weekly Full session (9am - 4:45 pm):   $495.00

Weekly  Half session ( 2 days  from each session) : $300.00

Sleepovers are $150 per day. 

We are 40 mins from the center of town. We do arrange for  carpool/ transportation if you prefer not to drive up.

We are currently accepting enrollments for 

 Winter, Spring and Summer Break.
