May 8th 2007,  Our dearest horse "Dude" passed on... 

This was his ranch, his place- "Dude's Ranch Equine Rescue Center".  The day he came to us he was the meanest and unhappiest of beings. He was very malnurished and hadn't been fed in who knows for how long.  With much forgiveness,  he has taught us and the people who he's met what trust and kindness means.  Also, the meaning of what we call "horsetime" aka patience.

  Dude has help rescue many other horses through his work here at the ranch. He was one of the hardest working and most trustworthy horses alive. He was a valued and loving partner.  Dude lived a long, healthy and happy life here with us.  He was 32 years old and will be missed terribly.

His name will live on through our work here at the ranch.
